In the little Hand Care Set I received from Goodiebox I found this hand cream with the complicated name. So after writing this review, I intend to immediately forget how it was spelled again… anyway, Oblepikha Siberica is a hand cream made in Siberia. That does sound promising for everyone who gets cold, dry hands in the winter!
About Oblepikha Siberica
The special thing about this brand with the complicated name is that is uses flowers and plants growing in the untamed wilds of Siberia. And when you think Siberia, you also think snow, ice and inhumanely cold winters, am I right? Right. And so the plants used in this hand cream are so strong, they survived the last ice age somehow. How they did it? Well, they have a few unique characteristics for that, and it’s those things that scientist have captured from these plants to put in this hand cream.
Oblepikha Siberica is made with 100% natural ingredients. All plants and flowers are grown and hand picked on a large terrain for biological cultivation.
About the hand cream
Goodiebox kindly sent me a travel sized tube of this hand cream. Great, because it fits right into my purse – so now it goes wherever I go. I mostly use this one after washing my hands to prevent them from drying out too much.
I also love the packaging! I love the greenish-blueish colour and the gold print makes it look rather decadent (and a little bit Russian as well). When you squeeze some product out of the tube you’ll get a little surprise: this stuff is not white, but rather a golden yellow. It also smells very sweet – it could be the flowers, but I suspect a little added perfume here or there.
Because of the handy travel size this tube is very easy to bring along in a purse or shoulder bag, but still lasts a decently long time. Mine practically lives in my purse and emerges regularly – as said after washing hands, but also when I arrive at work, since my hands to get cold and dry when I get into my freezing car and grab that cold steering wheel in the morning.
Whether or not this hand cream works well for you depends on how dry your hands get. In my experience, this stuff smooths into the skin really well, but it takes a little while for your skin to really absorb the cream. So if you don’t want greasy cream fingers on your keyboard, you’ll need to take a little longer to rub and massage.
Eventually your skin will absorb it all and leave you with soft, wonderful smelling hands. Apparently my skin is just super dry, because just doing this once is not enough for me. My skin stays a bit dry, especially on the inside of my hands, and that really is too bad.
Product: Oblekpikha Hand Cream
Brand: Oblepikha Siberica
Cost: €10,99 (75 ml)
This Oblepikha Siberica Hand Cream feels great and smells even better. I also love that it’s made with natural ingredients and herbs that grow naturally in the area. Sadly, it is not really made for my hands. It takes a while for my skin to absorb the cream (and I am often in a hurry to continue my work) and my hands are still a little bit dry after use.
Are your hands not so super dry and is a little bit enough for you? Then this cream may be perfect for you.
